The adventure begins
Ahh, so here we go.
The game has been in development for several days, not counting previous attempts at creating it, of course.
To create the game I chose Unreal Engine 5 instead of older but more stable versions...
- Why? I don't know
- Do I regret it? A little.
There are some problems with the engine, mainly related to saving your work progress and organization.
I don't know yet what the game will be about, I would have to start thinking about it and I think I'll get down to it.
At the moment, into the game has been implemented:
- Day and Night Cycle,
- Save/Load Game
- Basic Locomotion (Walk, Sprint, Jump)
- Flashlight (with battery percentage)
- Basic needs (Food, Thirst, Stamina)
Interaction with static and physics objects with Actions such us:
- Use
- Grab
I still haven't done:
- Hold
- Collect
And it would also have to be done already before I develop even more interactable objects.
Also, I will create a discord server where I will post the changes I make to the game. I will also provide a link to GitHub project that will contain goals, completed goals, and things to improve.
For now I'm going to rest, today I was on the project from 3 PM to 4 AM, which is 12 hours... I guess I need to limit it, but creating games is addictive.
